This not a mo’ phatt…it was merely inspired by everything in that era..this will probably inspire you more than anything you have heard in a while. The ProFATT VSTi/AU plugin and wav collection fills a gap of late 80s to mid 90s synths and workstations. The products that were used but as often spoken about as the MPC. There were racks of sound modules and samplers used to accompany even sample based productions and even a large percentage of “golden age” hiphop work that wasnt done with samples at all. In between the products and sound collections aimed at early hiphop and urban production and various “cover all” soundsets. For some reason this whole era of truly inspiring sounds and hardware have been overlooked. So we have spent the last year seeking this hardware out, finding the most inspiring and useful patches among all of them and essentially created a best of product. The ProFATT module can be used to create productions completely on its own as it contains really any type of sound you may need, others will find it useful as a compliment to sample based productions etc. There are 796 patches as of first release with expansions and updates along the way. But above all the care and meticulous nature of how we aprroached this product is really why it will stand out. Every patch has been captured through wonderful AD convertors, all data expertly edited to save HD space, and each patch tested and utilized for weeks even as of now. It uses our recent Double Quality Interpolation, is EXTREMELY LOW CPU TAXING (we have ran 35 instances without a hiccup) and most importantly it will inspire you. Theres nothing ultra modern or cutting edge about this product, thats the point…hence the tagline “Nineteen Ninety Now” these are patches directly taken from a slew of hardware units that were used to create a majority of hiphop records in the 90s. Hey if its good enough for them its good enough for me…and here at music weapons we have had alot of fun messing around with this one!
